MCH Election and Dessert Potluck

ELECTION!

The membership of the Club will elect three Trustees. Three trustees are elected each year to provide for a continuous Board. This is done so that we never have too many new trustees at once, and the community center enjoys continuous, consistent leadership. This year, a trustee will also be chosen to fill a vacancy.

This meeting will be held on May 9, 2018 at the Marblemount Community Hall at 6:30 PM.

It is a dessert potluck, so bring your favorite dessert and prepare to have some fun.

This is our most important meeting of the year, so please join us!

February’s Meeting Is on the 15th

Normally, the community center hosts its monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of the month. In February, this happens to fall on Valentine’s Day. To ensure that all of our members can enjoy the holiday with their loved ones, the meeting will be switched to the next day. Everyone is welcome to join us for the monthly meeting on February 15 (Thursday) instead of Wednesday.

Make a Date to Meditate

Meditation has been found to boost the attention span, decrease stress and increase happiness. It can also boost your metabolism, improve your cardiovascular health, slow aging and enhance your immune system.

If you have been looking for a chance to learn more about meditation, come join us at the Marblemount Community Hall on the last Friday of each month. We will be hosting a silent meditation class from 4 to 8 PM. Bring your favorite meditation pillow or mat and get ready to meditate. If you can’t make it to the entire class, no worries—we are more than happy to have you present at any time. We also recommend bringing a blanket that you can easily use to warm up if you get a bit cold.

Starting in February, silent meditation will be hosted on every Friday from 4 to 7. If you can’t arrive on time, there will be breaks every half hour. Feel free to jump in once the break starts. We look forward to seeing you there!

Classes are by donation.
